Terms of Service

These terms govern the relationship between you and Contratado when you submit an application or purchase a plan. Plain language on purpose.

2. What this service is

Contratado is a career and job-search consulting service. We rewrite your resume in English, optimize your LinkedIn profile, identify job openings that match your profile, and prepare you for interviews.

3. What we guarantee, and what we do not

We guarantee full delivery of every asset included in the plan you purchase: the optimized resume, the LinkedIn profile, the agreed number of matched openings, the strategy and the interview preparation.

4. Applying does not create an agreement

Submitting the application form costs nothing and commits you to nothing. It is a request to be evaluated.

We reserve the right to decline any application, for any reason, including that your field falls outside our areas of expertise or that your English level is not sufficient for the roles we work with. If we decline, we tell you and that is the end of it.

5. Payment

• Payment happens after the video call, once the scope is confirmed. Never before.
• All prices are in US dollars and are one-time payments. There is no subscription and no recurring charge.
• Work begins once payment is received.
• Any bank, card processor or currency conversion fee is yours.

6. Plan upgrades

You may upgrade from Base to Pro or Elite by paying only the difference, within 10 days of paying for your first plan. After that window, an upgrade is charged as a full plan.

7. Refunds and cancellation

Because delivery begins immediately and consists of custom work produced for you, fees are non-refundable once work has started.

If you cancel before any work has begun, you receive a full refund. If we are the ones who cannot deliver what your plan includes, we refund the portion not delivered.

8. What we need from you

The results of this service depend on your participation. You agree to:

• Give us accurate information about your experience and your English level. We build everything on what you tell us.
• Apply to the openings we send you, and attend the interviews you get.
• Respond within a reasonable time so the process does not stall.

If a plan expires because you did not participate, we are not obligated to extend it. We do not misrepresent your experience under any circumstances, and we will not do so if asked.

9. Intellectual property

The resume, LinkedIn copy and materials we produce for you are yours once paid for. Use them however you like, forever.

Our methodology, templates, internal frameworks and the content of this website remain ours. You may not resell or redistribute them as your own service.

10. Confidentiality

We treat everything you share with us as confidential. How we handle your personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

We may reference your results anonymously. We will never use your name, photo, employer or testimonial publicly without your written permission.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability arising from this service is limited to the amount you paid for your plan.

We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages, including lost wages, lost job offers or lost opportunities.

12. Termination

We may end the engagement if you are abusive to our team, ask us to falsify information, or breach these terms. In that case we refund the portion of the plan not yet delivered.

13. Governing law

These terms are currently governed by the laws of Ecuador, where the service is operated from, unless the law of your country of residence grants you the right to bring a dispute elsewhere.

14. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. The version that applies to you is the one published on the day you paid. If we change something material, we update the date at the top.
